The Family Promise Mission:

Help local homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

Homeless Facts:

• 62% of homeless adults in San Bernardino County live with at least one child.

• One out of every 200 children attending YCJUSD schools is either doubled up with another family for financial reasons, living in a hotel or motel, living in a shelter, or is currently unsheltered.

• Children who lack stable housing are less likely to graduate high school and more susceptible to truancy and delinquency.

How does Family Promise Help?

With a focus on assisting families who lack housing stability, we help provide temporary shelter and case management services with resources for employment, meals, and transportation. The ultimate goal is to help families transition to housing stability and make sure no child in Yucaipa or Calimesa goes to bed hungry or unsheltered.

*During the recent pandemic, Family Promise fed local families with weekly food distribution

Family Promise Day Center and made deliveries to those lacking transportation.
